Add a flock
Register a new batch of birds.
- Open Flock from the menu.
- Tap the + button.
- Fill in the form and tap Save.
The fields
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Name | Any name you will recognise, such as Flock A192. |
| Type | Broiler, Layer or Mixed. |
| Breed | For example Rhode Island Red. |
| Initial count | How many birds the flock started with. |
| House or pen | Where the flock lives, such as House 2. |
| Hatch date | The day the birds were one day old. PoultryTap works out the flock's age from this. |
| Retirement date | When you plan to sell or cull the flock. |
| Total cost | Optional. What the birds cost you. |
| Include in expense | Tick this to add the total cost to your expenses as well. You need to enter a total cost first. |
| Status | Active while you are raising the flock. |
| Comment | Anything else worth noting. |
If you cannot add a flock
Your plan sets how many active flocks you can have. If you see Plan limit reached, close a finished flock or upgrade. See Plans.
