Working offline
Keep recording when there is no signal. PoultryTap sends your records up when you are back online.
You do not need signal to keep records. PoultryTap saves what you enter on your phone and sends it to our servers as soon as you are back online.
What works offline
You can add, edit and delete records in:
- Flock
- Treatments
- Production
- Feeds and Feed Inventory
- Sales and Customers
- Expenses and Suppliers
When you open a page offline, you see You're offline, showing saved data. The records are the ones your phone last saw while online.
Pending records
A record saved offline is a pending record. It shows in its list straight away with a Pending sync chip, and you see a message such as Sale saved offline. It will sync when you're back online.
You can edit or delete a pending record on the phone like any other. When the connection returns, it is sent up and the chip disappears.
What waits for signal
Some things need our servers and only work online:
- Recording weights and losses, or applying a vaccination schedule, on a flock that is still pending.
- Reports and data export.
- My Business, your profile, security settings and plans.
If a record was changed elsewhere
If someone else changed the same record while you were offline, you see This record was changed elsewhere. Refresh the list to see the latest version, then make your change again.
